This auction is for an artisan made leather journal, notebook or diary. 

The rich rustic toffee brown genuine leather cover was hand cut and the pages hand torn. This particular journal was designed using the natural edge of the hide, making it a truly one of a kind piece. The journal contains 144 white blank unlined acid free pages or 288 if counting both sides.  The journal is hand bound using a variation of the centuries old, longstitch binding technique.  Inside the papers are divided into 6 separate signatures or packets which are each hand sewn securely to the spine of the journal with complimenting thread.

The journal lies flat when open providing a comfortable writing surface. The leather cover wraps around the journal and and it is held closed with leather ties finished with wooden beads.  The leather cord wraps around the journal twice and is tied at the front securing the journal tightly closed and your thoughts private when not in use.

The journal measures approx. 6 x 4.75 inches when closed making it a good size to carry in a purse, pocket or backpack with you so you can record your thoughts, poetry or musings whenever the mood strikes. It is the perfect size to have on hand when those moments of inspiration or observation just need recording. This would make a great wine journal, prayer journal, dream or trip diary as well. Made by myself, a journaling writing enthusiast, with features I look for in a good journal. Each of my journals is individually designed and handbound so each one is has it's own unique features.
