New Life Spectrum is the ultimate fish food for all fish keepers from the beginning hobbyist to the professional breeder.  New Life International is a small business which makes fish food and fish food only.  Unlike gigantic conglomerates, they do not have obligations to make millions of jars of food at once while keeping the production cost as low as possible at the expense of the quality of the food.  New Life focuses all of their energy and time on providing the best diet for your fish without regard for production costs.  This has resulted in a food which is so much better than any other fish food in existence and has an end result of fish that eat New Life Spectrum exclusively living longer, healthier lives.  We feed this food to our fish exclusively and have been using it for years.  We recommend it for usage with all of the fish we breed, and despite the misconceptions, you do not need to supplement your fish’s food when using a premium food such as New Life Spectrum.  Fish can eat the same food every day for the rest of their life.  Our fish are: larger, healthier, and more colorful fish than the competition.  The time, money, effort and quality ingredients which go into New Life food make it the best commercial food on the market, bar none.  It is even better than most homemade food.

Feeding a bargain fish food for your tropical, saltwater or pond fish is the human equivalent of going into the grocery store and purchasing 5 pounds of SPAM with extra LARD and eating that for the rest of your life.  Fish, like humans, are a product of their environment and diet is a major determinant of overall health.  Many of the mass produced and bargain foods use ‘filler’ ingredients which are ingredients with little value to the fish as they can only digest and process a relatively small amount of energy which is in the food.  Additionally, many bargain foods and most frozen foods will have too much fat content which can shorten lifespans dramatically, just as in humans.  Even if you have great water parameters, if you are not using a premium fish food, you are not obtaining optimal fish health.

New Life Spectrum has a few major advantages over the competition.  New Life uses whole Herring, Antarctic Krill, and whole Squid meal as their base ingredients which are the highest quality base ingredients available and the ideal food for virtually every fish.  Many commercial foods use corn as their major ingredients; fish in their native environment do not grow corn or wheat nor do they eat it!  Their digestive system is not adapted to digest these ‘bargain’ or ‘filler’ ingredients.  New Life Spectrum also has all of the trace elements and minerals your fish needs to thrive right there in their food; other foods lack these trace elements.  The ingredients are engineered to give your fish the correct diet it needs to thrive and are engineered for the diet of fish.  Additionally, all elements in New Life are very stable and this food has an extended shelf life.  Using New Life Spectrum exclusively will also give your fish coloration you have never seen before within only a few days to a few weeks.  New Life Spectrum also retains its form in water longer, meaning less cloudy water as it gives time for finicky eaters to pick at their food.  Many different lines including the Thera, Flakes, and a few others have a natural anti-parasitic in it which is garlic based and not a medication.  The garlic used aids appetite and discourages the growth of most internal parasites and worms.  New Life Spectrum does not put any hormones, steroids or antibiotics in their food (including the Growth Formula).  Finally, despite the slightly higher cost of New Life Spectrum, it can actually be less expensive to feed New Life as opposed to bargain brands.  This is because the energy content in New Life Spectrum is much higher than in other foods (because they do not use ‘filler’ ingredients which are practically indigestible) and because of this, your fish does not need to consume nearly as much food to obtain the same amount of energy.  This then results in less fish waste as well, reducing aquarium maintenance.  Feeding New Life Spectrum is one of the easiest and most cost effective ways to increase fish health.  The only question that remains is: can you afford not to give your fish this optimal food?
