New, in aluminum casing, very sturdy meter. Real workhorse in industry. 1000V voltage, 1000 megaohms range. Good for checking cables, lines and electric motors. It has third terminal for guard to bypass surface insulation currents during measuring high voltage thick cables. Normally this terminal is not in use in checking motors, wires etc. No need battery and always ready to work. You see right away if you have short circuit and you do not relay on numbers of digital testers that many times show something else in number form. If you want reliable working insulation tester and not just a toy, this meter is for a professional like you. Be careful! It is 1000V generator there and you can get electrical shock (this warning is for young fellows). Especially be careful checking long cables. They have capacity and can hold 1000V for long time after a test. Discharge in safe manner to the ground and hold grounded for few minutes. Guaranty. Instruction included. Import. You will receive tester in styrofoam box, originally sealed in a factory. You can buy more than one megger from my E-bay store. Electricians: look my other auctions and E-bay store for hammer core and twisted solid drill bits. I carry core bits from 1" to 6" in diameter. We also make special bits for your needs.
