New 2008 Steiff Limited Edition Bear.

 

Rough Rider

 Horse and rider are part of a Limited Edition of 1,858 pieces -

commensurate with Teddy Roosevelt's year of birth.

 

American President, Theodore Roosevelt,

 lent his name to the beloved Teddy bear. 

 

 This jointed Teddy Bear is made of the finest cream-coloured alpaca,

dressed in a sand-coloured uniform made of cotton with a leather belt

 and a brown hat, the brim of his hat is fixed with the

 gold plated Steiff "Button in Ear".

 

The horse crafted of white/brown flecked mohair, has been hand painted

 with great attention to detail, the hand-made saddle, bridle and hooves,

are made of genuine dark brown leather, decorated with studs.

 

 The horse and rider are mounted on a glazed wooden pedestal, with a small brass plate that bears the inscription "Rough Rider" attached to it.

 

Syrface washable.

 

Bear :18cm (7 inches)  Horse :30cm  (11.75 inches)  approx. 

 

Presented in a Steiff Box with a certificate of authenticity.
