| The Oscar E. Monnig Meteorite Collection Catalog by Dr. Art Ehlmann Publisher: Stanegate Press, Tucson, AZ 2008 This new soft cover book has three main sections. The first section describes the history of meteorite collecting by Oscar Monnig. It includes a short biography of his life along with several interesting and fully reproduced letters of trades he made with various sources over the years. These include all the big names including Nininger, Wards, British Museum, Huss, Smithsonian plus several from some of the original owners/finders of the meteorites. The next section shows 32 color photographs and photomicrographs of meteorites from the collection. The final section lists each of the 1370 different meteorites in alphabetical, classification and geographical lists. This is a must have for anyone with interest in meteorites and meteorite books. I have been selling meteorites and meteorite/mineral related books for over 10 years. I have been selling on the internet as Jensen Meteorites for 7 years. Shipping & Handling: Shipping is as follows $4.00 media mail or $9.00 priority in the USA, $12.00 Canada and $25.00 for international orders(it will not fit in the flat rate mailer).
