The F.E. Myers & Bros. Co. began in 1870, when Francis E. Myers left his father's farm and began selling tools and hardware to local farmers. His brother, Philip developed the double-acting hand pump, which delivered water in a steady stream instead of in short spurts. Soon, Francis was devoting himself entirely to the marketing and selling of his brother’s pumps. Two other brothers, Alvah N. and G. Denton, joined the enterprise, and the firm erected their own building. By 1884, the Myers’ operations had expanded to cover several city blocks in Ashland.
Philip's mechanical talent made the company a leading firm in the farm equipment industry. Philip Myers held 125 patents on various pump designs and also porch swings, bicycle stands, hat tools, store ladders, door hangers, and other items. Through the years Myers has designed, developed and manufactured many types of pumps, including windmill pumps, bilge pumps, de-watering pumps, fire pumps, industrial pumps, and power sprayer pumps.
In 1960, the Myers family sold F.E. Myers & Bros. Co., to the McNeil Corporation, a worldwide organization with corporate headquarters in Akron, Ohio. In 1986 Pentair, Inc. of St. Paul, Minnesota, acquired Myers, which now is part of the Pentair Pump Group.
Myers is still a going concern, though not under its own name. The Ashland operation includes over 410,000 square feet of warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, foundry, office facilities and employs approximately 600 people. Myers combines manufacturing expertise and understanding of applications to provide a pump with strength and versatility for any demanding high-pressure job, and remains dedicated to supplying top quality jet and submersible well pumps; utility, sump and sewage pumps; effluent pumps; non-clog and other large waste handling pumps; and high pressure reciprocating and centrifugal pumps and pumping systems. Markets include residential, agricultural, commercial, municipal and industrial applications in North America and more than 100 foreign countries.

First Class International Mail to most countries is $6.70. PLEASE NOTE -- NOT ALL COUNTRIES !!! First Class International Mail to Canada is $5.50.
Our experience in the past few years is that MAILING OVERSEAS HAS BECOME SOMEWHAT RISKIER AND MUCH, MUCH SLOWER. We have seen a handful of books take nearly two months to be delivered. One or two books a year end up never being delivered. We’re sorry, but there is nothing we can do about the postal services of our respective countries.
