This game works 100%. The picture is perfect on this newly rebuilt original Wells Gardner 4900 series monitor. All controls work. It is set on Free Play right now, but can easily changed via on-screen menu to be quarter play.
The original leaf joysticks still have a great feel. The buttons are brand new.
The light bulbs have been replaced with a new ones. The power supply is a newer switching style power supply, and the games boards are new. The game also comes with locks, coin mechs, and the original coin box.
This is an original Gaplus / Galaga 3 cocktail cabinet that I have cleaned up and restored electronically, and added 59 other games to.
Now you can play all of the Galaga series games, as well as almost all of the Pac Man games (Pac Man, Ms. Pac Man, Jr. Pac Man, Pac Man Plus, and all these titles in speed-up mode as well), all three Donkey Kong games in addition to 50+ other great classic games that we all know and love. Here are the other games you get.

Physically, this is a pretty decent Galaga 3 cocktail. The cabinet is very solid - and very well built. Gaplus/Galaga 3 was one of the last (if not THE last) cocktail game that Midway made. They redesigned the cabinet for it, and it is built like a fortress. Much more solid and heavy than any other midway cocktail. Also, it opens up nicer for service than other midway cocktails.
Unfortunately, the top glass no longer has the Gaplus/Galaga 3 artwork. I've not seen another one of these for years and I can't remember if it's supposed to have artwork or not...I assume so. But this one just has black paint under the glass. So it looks ok, but would be better if there were artwork.
The coin door is just about like new...very nice.

The approximate size and weight of this game is listed below, and the pallet and packaging material will weigh an approximate additional 40 lbs. You can either
come pick this up in McLean, IL
(Exit 145 on I-55), or I will ship this using FedEx National (formerly Watkins). I get a substantial discount with them, and so far they have delivered most of my games quickly and without damage. The cost should be between $110 and $250, anywhere in the country, although I have seen it go higher in remote areas of Oregon and Washington,
plus about $65 if you want it delivered to your home. You can save this residential delivery fee by having it delivered to a business or by
picking it up at the nearest FedEx National freight terminal (they're everywhere). E-mail me for the location of the nearest terminal.
I can also work with North American Van Lines, if you prefer to use them. Their rates are almost always quite a bit higher, but they do remove the need for palletizing and they will deliver to your residence for no extra charge. So in some cases, it may be a good deal to use them.
Weight and distance are the main factors in determining shipping cost, so the closer you are to central IL, and the less the item weighs, the cheaper it will be. Games closer to 200lbs (plus pallet) are considered relatively light, and games over 300lbs are considered heavy. So using those guidelines, you can get a good feel for whether your shipping will be closer to the $110 end of the range or the $250 end. Of course, the more stuff you buy from me at the same time, the cheaper shipping will be per item. The best per-game shipping cost kicks in with 3+ games purchased.
If you e-mail me your zip code, I will give you a shipping quote to your door. There will be a $50 palletizing fee for this item, which will include the pallet, then rolling the game with cardboard, then covering it with stretch-film, then strapping it to the pallet, and finally covering it with "fragile" stickers. My games are wrapped extremely well...ask my past customers.
I am too far from any Forward Air terminal to bother with them, and will not use them.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
If you have this game shipped to an address in Illinois OR pick it up at my shop, I must collect local (6.75%) sales tax. I hate doing so, but it is required by my state government as I operate this company as a legitimate business. I'm not "Charging" sales tax....I'm "collecting" it for them (and I won't be held responsible for how poorly they use it). No, I don't pocket the money...it goes to the state.
