Nice Zenith TransOceanic H500 Properly Restored

This Zenith Trans-Oceanic model H-500 serial number 203223 was built in early 1952. The most failure prone components have been replaced, the selenium rectifier (1N4007 diode & 200 ohm resistor) and all the filter capacitors. The result is a receiver that tunes correctly, in good alignment, the band switches and tone switches work well, the wave magnet and telescoping antenna work properly. Included is a spare set of tested tubes, including the 1L6. No corrosion anywhere, this radio has led a fairly sheltered life and should serve well for many years to come. It has been well tested at my chairside, pulling in stations from around the world on every ban. Perhaps this Zenith should be yours.
