history behind this shoe... back 02' sneaker heads were begging nike to bring back the Air Jordan II as a retro but Jordan brand director Gentry Humphrey refused to bring back the II because the original mold were either lost or damaged so he so he said if they couldn't make the shoe like the og the II wouldn't be making a comeback, so at this time Jordan Brand came up with the NU Retro 2 it's kind of like the little brother of the AJ 2 has alot of similarites but is also alot different.

This particular pair never made it into production as you will see these are Wear Test Samples and are extremly rare, I've never seen another pair nor heard of another collector owning a pair. This colorway was scrapped in my opinion because of the suede bleeding on the leather near the back heal and along the rubber outsole, a shame because the colors that were released don't hold up to these. These have the number 10 hand written on each shoe, this was done by nike during the test phase for this shoe to identify the tester. I've added 2 comparison pictures of the NU retro 2 and the AJ Retro II from 2004, the AJ Retro II is just for a comparison you don't get both pairs. This auction is for the Wear Test sample Nu Retro 2 only.
