| | | Norfolk Island Pines, Araucaria heterophylla, are native of Norfolk Island (somewhere between New Caledonia and Australia in the South Pacific). Although they may reach a height of 80 feet in their natural habitat, they make an excellent bonsai in the home.
The beauty and symmetry of the plant, as well as the soft texture of the foliage make a relaxing bonsai. With pruning you can keep the plant almost forever in the same bonsai pot.
The Norfolk Island Pine is a great house plant. It prefers full sun or very, bright, indirect light. Water when the soil is on the dry side. The moss should be misted twice a day to keep it green.
The bonsai tree you will receive is growing in a 7" x 9" x 3" bonsai pot as shown in the first picture. It is about 12 inches tall. The grove consists of approximately 10 trees surrounded by living moss. Plus we include an authentic Chinese Mudman.
