This is a stunning Individual Gravy Boat or Sauce Dish made by Royal CHina whice was one of the Noritake Companies. The mark on the bottom dates this piece to between 1911 - 1921.

The decoration consists of a battern pattern hand painted in pale grey and accented with a floral and fruite design. Over the top of that the company applied a heavy gold encrusted grape and leaf pattern.

The pattern encircles the entire interior edge of the gracy boat and the entire exterior edge of the detached underplate. The border is edged with tiny little applied gold dots known as moriage and theya re 99.99 percent present.

The fruit appears to be bananas, oranges and grapes ad the flowers are aoink rose and a yellow daisy. The flowers can be found at the end of the handle and the spout and the remainder of the design is the fruit in 2 separate decorations.

There is a tiny bit of wear to the gold on the handle and there is wear to the base of the gravy where it rested on the plate but that is the only condition issue I find. There is no damage and there is no scratching. There is a tiny rough area on the top of the handle that looks like moriage.

It measures approximately 6 3/8" long from spout to back of handle and about 3 3/4" tall.

The gravy is marked with the RC logo as shown in the photo the plate is unmarked.
