North fiberglass toms (http://www.northdrums.org/), 12" and 14", with stand. These were owned by Andre Locke, who played with Mandrill (http://www.discogs.com/release/554688) and other jazz bands.
Drums are in good shape. Some scuffs and scratches but no cracks or dings. Hardware needs polishing. Decals inside drums, which might be serial numbers, are 3916 and 3944. The large tom's spur holder is a Ludwig; the original North one is not available.
Stand also in decent shape, a little rust. Has "Made in Italy" decal (no country of manufacture listed on drums). I do not know how to assemble the stand. Spurs needed to connect drums to stand, and possibly other hardware, are missing, but gee, what a fun project figuring out how to hook them together! ;-)
Mr. Locke donated these to First Parish in Brookline, MA, for sale by auction, in 1991, when he retired from drumming.
If you wish, you can make check directly out to the church to claim a
tax deduction (check with www.irs.gov for specific rules). The drums sat in the church cellar until last year. The cellar was dry and there's little rust on the hardware.
SHIPPING: Because hardware is heavy and drums are fiberglass, I will ship each drum in a separate box and the stand in a 3rd. Shipping details: small tom 13 lbs (6 kg), large tom 15 lbs (7 kg), stand 23 lbs (10.4 kg). INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING - available but since eBay can't handle 3 separate packages I'll determine charges upon request. SHIPPING COSTS: The whopping $170 is the estimate from UPS for the 3 packages described above. If you can find something cheaper, let me know and I'll refund the difference to you.
