I am auctioning off a collection of three very rare pieces of Notre Dame memorabilia. These items are already considered rare, the fact that these were awarded to a former team captain and the team's leading tackler makes them exceptionally rare. Items include two (2) University of Notre Dame Bowl Rings as well as a University of Notre Dame Bowl Watch: 2001 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl BCS Ring and 2003 Toyota Gator Bowl Ring as well as a 2001 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl BCS Watch. Items will be auctioned as a complete set. Both rings are 14ct gold and the watch is manufactured by Wenger. The 2001 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl was a BCS bowl game and the 2003 Toyota Gator Bowl Ring was a January 1st bowl game. I actually suffered a broken clavicle in the latter. All of these items are in 'mint' condition. They have literally NEVER been worn. They have been in my safety deposit box for years. All items come with the original casing in which I recieved them. In fact, the Fiesta Bowl BCS Watch still has the cardboard ring inside of the leather band, which is evidence that it has never even been on my wrist. I am a four year letterman as well as a former team captain (2004) so I prefer to wear my Monogram ring (which I earned as a reward for being a four year letter winner) as opposed to these bowl rings which is why I've chosen to store them in a safety deposit box. I'd like to point out that I regret being in a position where I have to auction off these items. The simple fact is that the recession has hit me hard and I need the money. Again, I am a former team captain as well as the leading tackler my senior season. That being said, anyone who is close to me or even seen my play during the course of my career at Notre Dame knows how much I love the University and how hard my teammates and I worked to be in a position to receive the items that you are bidding on. A lot of blood, sweat, tears and injuries went into getting these. I gave my heart and soul to Notre Dame while I was there. My auctioning off of these items is no indication of my feelings towards the University. My wish is that a true Notre Dame fan winds up with these and will cherish them as much as my family and I have. I have chosen not to display up-close photos of these items that reveal my name and number. Serious bidders can contact me if they need more information. I will take care of the shipping cost. I will accept payment via PayPal. |
