If you are a seller currently selling or looking to sell Frogskins, then you have to read this: This listing is to warn sellers of the scams carried out throughout eBay for Frogskins. Malaysian buyers are ripping sellers off left and right by purchasing Frogskins. How do they do this? Any continuous seller of Frogskins in last 6 months knows exactly what I am talking about. A buyer from Malaysia (yes, this is the primary country) purchases your Frogskins and everything goes as normal... They pay. you mail the item, forget about the transaction (occasionally I have even received positive feedback). 2-3 months pass then all-of-a-sudden, BAM! you get hit with a chargeback for the entire amount. Wha?.... Turns out, they receive your Frogskins but submit a claim as "unauthorized payment" with their credit card issuer which you end up being held liable for. Most often Paypal awards the credit card company the funds and you get nothing.....Thats right; no Frogskins, no cash. Only frustration and heartache. Trust me, I have had this happen on most all my Frogskin transactions with Malaysia. Even after some deep research, I have found many of them as friends on Facebook together (if you have been scammed, email me the list of names you have had chargebacks for and I will update this listing with these). It is definitely an organized scheme as Frogskins have recently become a popular trend there, this is their way of "getting a free pair" at our expense. To those in Malaysia: I understand there are some honest buyers out there, but to those who have scammed sellers in the past or intend to do so in the future. Think your actions carefully here as sellers are not here to give away free sunglasses. We have to pay for them, so should you. If you have had similar experiences on eBay with this, then please write and let me know about it. I would love to hear about how many have really been 'raked through the coals' by this and am hoping to thwart any more potential victims. As a result of this listing, I have received many emails from sellers who have shared similar experiences. It appears it is happening to most sellers and therefore could easily happen to you too. If you choose to ignore my warning, a few months from now you will wish you had. BTW, this listing is informational only. |
