This is an extremely rare vintage original 1966, (yes, 42 years old), KYA BEAT NEWSPAPER that is complete and in excellent condition, has very light yellowing of paper due to age.  The pictures definitely do not due it justice as in reality the paper has a very consistent color, is not as dark as shown, does not have predominant blotchy areas and does not have shading at the creases, this is a shadow.  The Beat was published weekly for KYA listeners by Beat Publications, Inc. Hollywood, California.  The subscription price was $5.00 per year or 15 cents per edition.  Each newspaper featured articles and pictures of the hottest stars, hot teenage topics and the top 30 hits for the week is listed on the back.  Each newspaper had very little advertisement but did cover a wide range of artists and their current activities.  Dimensions – 15 inches high and 11 ½ inches wide.

I am the original owner of this very unique collectible piece and got it while a teenager in 1966.  I subscribed to the publication and am the addressee on the mailing label.  I have kept it all this time and only recently found it while unpacking some boxes. The boxes have been stored in a completely smoke and pet free environment. We are in the process of downsizing, therefore are selling due to display space limitations.

We accept payment by PayPal to be paid within 7 days of the purchase date, (payment by PayPal only effective 10-20-08 to be in compliance with eBay rules).  STANDARD FLAT RATE SHIPPING AND TRACKING $2.90.  We combine shipping on multiple purchases when possible.  Please note, the shipping and tracking amount is an estimate, therefore if the actual amount of shipping, etc. is below the estimated amount we refund the difference over $1.00.  We do not markup shipping, tracking, or the cost of the box, if applicable, and do not charge for handling.  We will email the buyer with the tracking number and date shipped.  We sell and ship to continental U.S.A., Alaska, and Hawaii only.
