Up for sale is an OEM Apple combo drive for a laptop or iMac. It came in a macbook I purchased, and immediately swapped it out with a super drive (DVD-RW, not just DVD-R) because it was cheaper than paying Apple to include a super drive. Now I am left with a CD-RW/DVD-R drive I have no need for. Shipping is a flat 5 dollars. Guaranteed against DOA.

 Q: Does the drive have a switch for "master" or "slave" on it? Any idea of the speed?
A: as far as i know there is no physical switch on the device. it was meant for an imac or macbook laptop which can only support one internal drive. I don't know the speed, I'm sorry

A: slot loading. It is the slimline drive that would come in an upright imac, macbook, or macbook pro.
