Thank you for visiting my page! I am Diana, an artist based in Orange County, Laguna Beach area, in California. My current work is evenly split between the artistic exploration of the Pacific coast in Southern California and classical still life setups in my studio. My formal artistic education includes a Fine Arts High School and a Fine Arts Academy college degree from Europe, with a major in restoration and conservation of the ancient works of art for museums. Additionally, I have attended studio art classes and workshops at University of California San Diego and Athenaeum School of the Arts in La Jolla. My paintings are found in private collections in Japan, Canada, Europe and across United States. I am creating exclusively in oil.

TITLE
Still Life with Apples and Jar
ARTWORK DESCRIPTION
This classically composed still life, including a Japanese jar and green-red Apples possesses a certain calming, meditative quality. Maybe it is because of the balanced placement of objects or the light and glow reflected from the jar in contrast with the dark background. I have found this ceramic jar featuring floral design in an antique shop near the old San Juan Capistrano mission.
