NO RESERVE.....................................................................Estate Sale Item.........................................This auction is for an old Wood Violin Instrument , with Carry Case . There is a paper label inside , that reads , “ Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis , Faciebat Anno 1721 , Made in Czechoslovakia “ . It is hard to read , so I could have a letter or two off . This piece looks to me to be something made in the first part of the 1900s , maybe the 30s-40s ?? As you can see in my photos , the Violin shows a lot of use wear , but I see no cracks , or repairs . I have one close up photo , with a pencil pointing , at one tiny nicked corner edge . There was a Bridge with the Violin , when I purchased it , but I somehow lost it , somewhere . The Violin measures approx. 22 in. long . There are 3 different type of string on the piece . The Bow is approx. 26 in. long , has no playing hair , and is missing the tip off the grip end . There is also no name on the Bow . The Violin Case , shows a lot of wear especially on the exterior . The carry handle is missing , but all the latches seem to work fine . The Violin appears to fit nicely in the Case , but the Case is marked on the bottom , Made in U.S.A. , so it’s likely not original to the instrument . Everything seems tight on the Violin , and again the finish on it shows a lot of use .
The maximum shipping cost , ( 11 lbs , 30x12x6 , Parcel Post ) , will be approx. $19.90 , (West Coast to East Coast) , which INCLUDES SHIPPING INSURANCE . Alaska and Hawaii could cost more , so email me for that shipping cost .
