THIS RARELY SEEN CARLTON WARE BISCUIT JAR WAS MADE IN ENGLAND AND IS MARKED AS SUCH WITH "REGISTRATION PENDING".

A LOVELY OLD GIRL WHO IS NO LONGER PERFECT BUT STILL VERY NICE AND WOULD MAKE A GOOD ADDITION TO YOUR COLLECTION.

MEASURING 6.25" (16CM) TALL WITH A DIAMETER OF THE SAME MEASUREMENTS AT ITS WIDEST POINT. THERE IS EXTENSIVE CRAZING AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTO WHICH DOES LEAD TO SOME DISCOLORATION INCLUDING A VERY SMALL MARK AT THE BOTTOM ALL OF WHICH YOU CAN REMOVE BY SOAKING THE JAR IN PEROXIDE FOR 3 OR 4 DAYS. BUT, BECAUSE SOME CUSTOMERS PREFER TO LEAVE THE PIECE AS FOUND WE HAVE NOT CLEANED IT UP. I SHOULD POINT OUT AS WELL THAT THE LID IS HALLMARKED EPNS AND IS MISSING THE VERY TOP OF THE LITTLE KNOB TO LIFT IT. THE LID AND HANDLE REMAIN VERY GOOD.
