GARY MACK
Gary Mack is an artist who has lived at the Beaches (Jacksonville, Florida) since the early eighties. He was introduced to surfing in 1964 by his cousin John McCann of Ponte Vedra, who was a life guard near Jones Beach, Long Island. His desire to travel in search of better waves led him to France, Spain, Morocco, Senigal, West Africa, Hawaii, Mexico and California, with a three year stay in South Africa, Mauritius and Reuinion Islands in the Indian Ocean. Along the way, his artistic ability enabled him to finance his surf travels. His paintings are always influenced by the places he has lived and frequently capture the feeling and beauty of the beach and its lifestyle. |
