INSPIRED BY THE NOSTALGIA OF UNDERGROUND ATLANTA WHEN THIS LANTERN FLICKERED IN THE LATE AFTERNOON, THE ARTIST CAPTURED THE MOMENT IN THIS LIMITED EDITION PRINT.  THE STREET LANTERN ENCASED IN IVY EVOKES A HAUNTING FEELING WHICH MAKES ONE WONDER HOW MANY CARRIAGE DRIVERS TRUSTED THIS OLD LANTERN TO LIGHT THEIR WAY HOME.

 Very beautiful unframed limited edition print of 1,000 signed and numbered prints of stunningly realistic Pen & Ink Drawing of "Lantern From Old Atlanta".  The details of the antique Lantern in the drawing are extraordinary.  Original Pen & Ink Painting was drawn circa 1970's.     

Lovely depiction of Atlanta Architecture prior to the Burning of Atlanta in the 1860's by General Sherman during the Civil War.   The pen & ink drawing sets a very dramatic aesthetic feeling of the opulence and grandeur of Pre Civil War Atlanta.  The Lantern portrayed in the drawing is still on display in the tiny part of Underground Atlanta that still remains beneath the Modern City.  One feels a sense of lost history upon going down the Old Atlanta City Steps.  If you ever plan a trip to Atlanta, Georgia you must take the time to visit this Historic Part of the City that is a time travel back to the Glory of the Southern Past.
