I BOUGHT THIS FROM AN ANTIQUE DEALER THAT HAS SINCE CLOSED HER SHOP. IT SITS 4 1/2" TALL WITHOUT THE STOPPER, 5 1/2" WITH STOPPER. THE BOTTOM HAS WHAT LOOKS LIKE A SLICE OF GLASS BROKEN OFF BUT THE ANTIQUE DEALER TOLD ME ITS A PONTIL MARK FROM BEING BROKEN OFF THE ROD WHEN HANDBLOWN.  THE WIDEST PART AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS GOURD SHAPED BODY IS OVER 2" AND IT HAS A DIMPLE ON THIS PART OF THE BODY. i CANNOT SEE ANY CHIPS OR CRACKS. THERE IS WHAT LOOKS LIKE A SMALL "SMASH" MARK INSIDE THE STOPPER BALL TOP WHICH I THINK HAPPENED DURING THE MAKEING OF THIS BECAUSE WHEN I TOUCH IT ALL I FEEL IS A RAISED BUMP, MAYBE ANOTHER PONTIL? I TRIED TO SHOW IT IN THE PIC BUT I DOUBT IT WILL BE EASY TO SEE. THE BASE OF THE STOPPER IS ROUGH TO THE TOUCH. THE SHOULDER AND NECK HAVE A TWIST OR SWIRL PATTERN TO IT LIKE THEY GAVE IT A SLIGHT TWIST WHILE THE GLASS WAS STILL SOFT THE STOPPER DOES NOT HAVE A TIGHT FIT WHICH I GUESS IT WOULDNT SINCE IT IS GLASS. I SEE NO DAMAGE OTHER THAN THE IMPERFECTIONS I MENTIONED. IT WEIGHS 4.5 OZ AND HAS A VERY DELICATE APPLIED HANDLE SO I WILL PACK IT SAFELY BUT WOULD PREFER TO MAIL IT PRIORITY SO IT GETS TO ITS NEW HOME QUICKLY. ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK.I DO THE BEST I CAN TO DESCRIBED MY ITEMS AND AM NOT AN EXPERT AT ANYTHING LIKE MOST OF US BUT I WELCOME ANYONE TO GIVE ME ANY INFORMATION ON ANY OF MY ITEMS AS I AM EAGER TO LEARN AND HAVE INVESTED IN MANY BOOKS ON ALL KINDS OF COLLECTIBLES AND ANTIQUES AND RESEARCHING ON EBAY HELPS ALSO. IF THERE IS ANY PROBLEM WITH AN ITEM PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I DO NOT USE A MICROSCOPE AND MOST ALL MY ITEMS ARE OLD AND HAVE BEEN USED AND I WILL LET YOU KNOW WHAT IF ANY MAJOR DEFECTS, FLAWS OR DAMAGE THAT CAN BE SEEN CLEARLY. I SAVED MANY OF MY PACKAGEING BOXES ETC. I RECYCLE SO I DONT HAVE TO CHARGE FOR PACKAGEING. PLEASE WAIT FOR AN INVOICE AS THE CALCULATEING IS A ROUGH ESTIMATE. I ONLY ADD 50 CENTS TO HELP WITH GAS AND FEES. IF YOU SEND A POSTAL MONEY ORDER I WILL SUBTRACT A DOLLAR FROM THE TOTAL. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AND HOPE I MAKE SOME HAPPY CUSTOMERS!
