very handsome mahogany vaneer cased dial
clock by Ollivant  and Botsford, Manchester, with
 chiming movement of 8 day, original silvered dial
with Arabic numerals, original black Spade hands
and signed near the top of the dial

condition
incipient age cracks to the mahogany vaneer
in the area of the dome top seem to underscore
the richness of the patinization rather than detract,
a point that should serve to remind us all that
we get better looking as we get older  

with original key and pendulum (see 2nd to
last image), clock keeps excellent time and
in this day and age of digitation and quartz, the
Westminister chiming at 15 minute intervals
sounds like 10 million bucks*

(*yes, it can be adjusted to run silently
as well, but there go the $10,000,000 :-)
