Telechron 4H91 'Finesse' Mantle Clock

The 1939-42 Telechron 'Finesse' has a wood case covered with genuine leather (choice of blue or brown) and brown mahogany base, top, and side trim. The dial features brown numerals on a tan numeral band and light cream center. Bezel and hands are polished brass. There were only 10,000 made which makes this a hard-to-find clock to begin with. However, most of the remaining clocks you find are worn, ripped and torn. This one is near perfect and has been completely overhauled and serviced, including new leather covering. Compared to others that you'd be lucky to find, this clock is a rare gem. So, if the "Best" is something you demand in your collection, then this clock deserves your consideration.

We disassembled the clock, removed the rotor and coil, and cleaned the movement in the sonic cleaner. It was oiled, put back together with the rotor and coil,and bench tested for 72 hours. It runs smooth and accurate.
The brass bezel and hands were cleaned and polished, then given a clear coat of lacquer.
The dial was cleaned and is in excellent condition with very little sign of aging.
The case was cleaned inside and out. The leather appears to have been professionally replaced at some time. It is in excellent condition with no rips or tears but has an uneven cut line at the bottom which is hardly noticable. The mahogany base, top, and side inserts are in good condition.
