The top photo of the blond doll is an example of the doll you would be learning to
create, however you may change the hair color and facial features as
you wish. The luscious soft wool and bright colors bring a special charm and
endearing character to the dolls. It is hard to believe that the needle felted dolls are made of only fluffy wool and a barbed needle!
The supplies for the doll would be an additional cost to you. This listing is for the CD class only and NOT the supplies. The wool supply cost would be in the range of $35-$40 depending on what wool you would like for your doll. Please contact me before purchasing if you have any supply questions.
Many bead
artists have enjoyed displaying their beads on the dolls at their bead
shows or in galleries. Doll collectors love to display the three
dimensional dolls on their walls. There is an opening behind the doll's neck so you may string a necklace around her neck. Pretty earrings may be pushed through the fibrous ears. There are so many ways one can embellish a wool doll!
I have many photos of my creations on my “about me” page. Just click on the “me” icon next to my eBay ID to see my wool creations. Recently I was honored to have three of my dolls featured in a beautiful art magazine. Oh happy day!
When you purchase this DOLL CLASS ON CD I will mail the CD to your home address. A supply list will be sent along with your class on the CD.
I have many color photos for you to follow included in each lesson along with my easy-to-read instructions. You may print one copy of each lesson for your records if you'd like and it is not to be shared with any other person. My CD classes are copyrighted 2007.
I do advise that my students have basic skills in needle felting before taking this class, as in knowing how to needle felt a basic shape. In this class you will be creating a 12” by 10" wool needle felted doll mounted on a felt covered foam pad.
I am here to help you through your lessons....all you need to do is email!
This will be a six-lesson class as shown below:
Lesson #1- Preparing the felt foam backdrop and needle felting the body
Lesson #2- Needle felting the neck and arms
Lesson #3- Needle felting the head, nose, muzzle and lips
Lesson #4- Needle felting the remaining facial features plus the cheeks and chin
Lesson #5- Needle felting the ears and bust
Lesson #6- Needle felting the dress and attaching the hair
For those who have not needle felted this is a process of poking fluffy wool with a barbed needle hundreds of times to sculpt a shape. Needle felting is basically sculpting and painting with wool! The wool doll you will be creating is not intended for children or pets. Please take a look at my other listings by clicking in the upper right hand corner of this page where is states "sellers other items" or feel free to browse in my eBay store!
