OOAK handmade fantasy sculpture art cloth doll mermaid

SOPHIA ROSE

Introducing a new character fantasy doll named "Sophia Rose" the mermaid. Sophia Rose was hand made by me Melissa McDonnell based on the pattern "Sophia Rose" creator unknown. 

She is a OOAK (One-Of-A-Kind) sculptured cloth doll. She is considered one of a kind as no 2 dolls ever turn out the same. She is made with a calico upper body, arms and head. Her tail end is made with a mottled dark blue cotton. Her tail fin is made with 4 layers. 2 layers are white tulle and the other 2 layers are bright blue crystal organza that has been wired to allow for gentle posing. Fin has also been trimmed around the edge with blue glitter. Around the base of her tail is a mixture of blue beads and blue roses. Various glittered thread, ribbon roses, glitter dots, and glass beads are decorating her tail. She is wearing a silver top that is covered with metallic dots and is gathered in the centre. A drop of blue beads are suspended in the center, and blue glitter dots decorate the top of her bra. Her fingers have pipe cleaners inside them making her fingers moveable, and she is holding a white pearl between her hands. She even has a blue glitter belly button jewel. Her hair is a feathery yarn in blues and turquoise, and she also has a silver ribbon headband.  Her facial features were hand painted/drawn by me. Her eyes are a lovely ocean blue colour, and her eyeshadow is in blue and silver glitter. Her cheeks are also lightly blushed pink and she has deep burgundy lips. If she were laid out straight she would measure approx 20" (51cm) from top of head to tip of tail. In her seated position she is 10" (25cm) high. She would look great sitting next to your tub, on your bookshelf or even in your bedroom. She is very very pretty and would make a wonderful addition to any fantasy collection.
