OPULENT UNUSED MOSAIC WORK WITH EMBROIDERED BUTTERFLIES SHEET SET
This is an extraordinarily beautiful unused cotton fancy top sheet with matching pillow cases that are in excellent condition. This skillfully made cherished piece is a wonderful example of Victorian needlework. Dating from probably the beginning of the 20th century and fresh out of a Italian linen closet, this set has recently been washed and pressed and is free of stains, repairs and holes and the cotton is sturdy. The decorative fine floral embroidered white on white work, two skillfully embroidered butterflies and gentle floral satin stitches, with its incredible mosaic work gives a simplistic femininity to this sheet. The ornate work extends across the entire top over lap of the sheet. These were made extra long so that you can turn back the top edge for a beautiful display on your bed. This cotton sheet measures a generous 66-1/2" in width x 97" in length, and is in absolutely perfect condition, and the pair of pillow cases are equally as beautiful. White work and mosaic work also adorns each of the cases and they measure 21-3/4" wide x 34-1/4" in length. Snowy white and free of wear, or repairs, very sturdy, this sheet set would be a delicate addition for your queen bed (as a sheet or bedcover) or for your collection. Standard double bed is 54" wide x 78" long. Queen bed is 60" wide x 80" long. King bed is 78" wide x 82" long. Would make a lovely holiday gift, or would make a great addition to your linen collection.
