I am Diana, an artist based in Orange County, Laguna Beach area, in California.
My current work is evenly split between the artistic exploration of the Pacific
coast in Southern California and classical still life setups in my studio.
My formal artistic education includes a Fine Arts High School and a Fine Arts Academy
college degree from Europe, with a major in restoration and conservation of the ancient
works of art for museums. Additionally, I have attended studio art classes and workshops
at University of California San Diego and Athenaeum School of the Arts in La Jolla.
My paintings are found in private collections in Japan, Canada, Europe and across
United States. I am creating exclusively in oil.

ARTWORK DESCRIPTION
|
I am very pleased with this colorful still life composition that I have set
up in my studio. It utilizes a beautiful contrast between bright orange
colors of fresh California Clementine tangerines and cold blue and white
reflective surfaces of a cute porcelain vase from China. Brush strokes are
relatively more pronounced since this is predominantly an Alla Prima work.
