your area. Please call them for prices. You can expect
approximately $100. to $150. for a 36" X 48" canvas.
Shop around, I've had clients find it for less than $100.

My birds are of course symbolic but I never like to think too much about exactly what they symbolize.

Their meaning often changes for me with each painting.

Each one of these little guys has such a personality to me. When I'm working on them I often become so aware of their personalities as I paint them. Honestly, sometimes it feels like they're kind of dictating to me what they'll look like... all right I know... she's really lost it this time...

But some of them seem kind of snobby and over it all and others are just watching, kind of concerned about what those crazy humans will do next. Some are so chubby it seems like they would have trouble even flying off the wire if they wanted to and then I start to think about how much each of them remind me of people I know...

and now we're into that whole unconscious thing about art... it just comes out the end of my brush like a dream goes through your head... and that's a whole nuther story...

Medium:

This is a mixed media painting using artists quality acrylic,
enamel, oil stick and oil paint glazing. 

Painted Edges:

I allow an extra 2" minimum of painted image (beyond
the listed dimensions of the painting) on all sides of
the canvas so when it is stretched the painted image
will wrap around the sides of the stretcher bars.

This way the edges will be finished and the painting
will be ready to hang without a frame as soon as
it is stretched.
