A reserve price is the minimum price the seller will accept. This price is hidden from bidders. To win, a bidder must have the highest bid and have met or exceeded the reserve price.
As with all of my paintings I start out with an idea in mind but eventually the painting's texture, colors and mood and take over and leads me in a totally different direction. This results in a completed painting that I could never duplicate, even if I tried. (that is why I don't re-paint paintings).
I always try and start by letting the "texture do the talking"..meaning I pay attention to the random texture I apply to give me the direction and starting point/structure for the painting. I end up by trying to balance the painting process with finding the "right" time to stop so the original has a fresh feel. It is very easy to overpaint a painting! One of the hardest things for me as an artist is to know when a painting is done and I should put my brushes down!
When I am at a point where I feel my painting is "done" and can offer it for sale, you can be assured that there has been a lot of love and thoughtfullness put into it and that the painting is a genuine unique one of a kind piece of art! All my original paintings are signed with my name, signature, year of creation and title of painting.
