This is something that will catch everyones eye, even if they dont know Joseph Biedenhard is the inventor of COCA COLA and started the Coca-Cola Company in Vicksburg, Mississippi! Collected by Collectors everywhere! This bottle is scarce to rare and would look good in any collection. Please, do not miss out!
The FIRST bottle to contain COCA-COLA! Embossed REGISTERED / BIEDENHARN / CANDY Co. / VICKSBURG / MISS. Embossed on the reverse heel ROOT 471 (made at the ROOT glass plant). Large B embossed on the base. Aqua in color, there is a tiny bit of case wear on the H in Biedenharn, Y in CANDY and the BURG in VICKSBURG, hard to see this except when held up to strong light. Abrasions mostly on the backside. No chips, cracks, bruises, stain or haze. Most of these examples are damaged, chipped and cracked. This is one of the nicer examples.
The newer Clevenger example, made in NJ at the Clevenger Glass Plant, now closed, is embossed with the same wording, is a nice teal green in color and has lots of bubbles. The clevenger is unused and is a remake of the original. Glass is all wavy and crude. Nice and very hard to find COCA-COLA collectible glass! Very pretty and in demand by collectors.
