GORGEOUS, HIGHLY ORNATE German 800 silver Tea & Coffee set - circa 1920.

Marked with the German crescent moon & crown, also with '800' for the silver grade and a maker's mark I do not recognize.

Each piece is superbly hand-chased with an elaborate repousse decor with figures, flowers, scrolls and other motifs.

The set consists of:

1. Large tilting water kettle on stand with burner - 16 1/2" tall (to top of handle when erect) x 10" wide - 49.1 troy oz

2. Coffee pot - 9 1/2" wide x 8" tall - 20.5 troy oz

3. Tea pot - 10 1/2" wide x 7 1/4" tall - 22.46 troy oz

4. Covered sugar bowl - 5 1/2" wide x 4 1/2" tall - 8.8 troy oz

5. Cream / Milk jug - 5" wide x 4" tall - 5.42 troy oz

 

Total weight is 106.3 troy oz - condition is EXCELLENT with no repairs or losses - only hinge missing off cover to burner - cover is there.
