FACTS:

• Our furnace was designed to have lower emissions and be far more efficient than the old outdoor wood boilers which in turn allows for far less wood usage!
• Burning wood clean and efficiently is a science not an art.
• Our combustion uses a turbo-sized forced air draft with the air forced in below the grates like a forge.  Enhancing the 1100 degree temperature of the coal bed to get an air temp. above 1200 degrees which is more than the 850 degrees  needed to combust the gasses in the firebox!  (Air forced in above the grates like most outdoor wood boilers use, cools the fire and has no comparison to a forge!!)  Burning of the gasses gives an additional 1/3 more heat as well as cleaning up the emissions
• Burning dry wood allows full use of the woods’ heat whereas green wood uses 1/3 of the heat just to dry the wood!!
• Dry wood uses free wind and solar to drive the moisture out of it not energy produced from the wood!
• Dry wood eliminates the corrosion of the fire box associated with green wood burners.
• Dry wood weighs 12 times less than green wood or  1# of dry wood will weigh 12 #s when cut green the 11# difference is water so for each 1 of dry wood you through in a outdoor wood boiler it is 1 # of wood and about 1 and ½ gallons of water this is where the corrosion issue comes to play
• Getting rid of corrosion eliminates the need for a heavy fire box and allows the heat to transfer to the liquid many times faster and limits the amount of heat loss out the chimney requiring less wood burned to reheat the liquid! This also help us to produce and sell a less expensive furnace!
• Burning dry split cured wood almost eliminates creosote as it is burn up in the secondary burn of the gasses and is utilized as heat energy!
