THE COLLECTOR’S ENCYCLOPEDIA OF OCCUPIED JAPAN COLLECTIBLES by Gene Florence, Collector Books, KY, 1992, 5th volume in a series. The items in this catalog were made between the end of World War II until April 28, 1952 when the occupation concluded. Items marked simply “Made in Japan” or “Japan” do not qualify in a collection of products from Occupied Japan. Only items labeled “Occupied Japan” or “Made in Occupied Japan” qualify. Some items made in occupied Japan may not have been so marked. Some legitimate items may have been marked only on containers which have long since been thrown away. Thus, the identification of genuine Occupied Japan wares is a challenge. Collectors benefit from networking with one another in this pursuit. And, this book, by itself or with other volumes in the series, provides an invaluable source of information regarding identification by mark, color, size and other characteristics of those wares authentically “Made in Occupied Japan.” 8.5“ x 11“ softback in very good condition (previous owner’s name penned inside cover). 124 pages.
