Here's another old or vintage bugle or similar type horn we received recently with the Boy Scout bugle we listed earlier this week. This one is relatively thickly made. Not sure if it was at one time silver or brass plated but at present shows aged copper and brass appearance as the pictures show. This one is somewhat shorter than others we've seen. Makes me think of the picutres of fox hunting horns I've seen over the years. Don't know if this one plays or not and would guess it has been used most recently as a wall decorative. Seems to be in nice condition without dents and similar appearance issues. Nicely made with good brass detailing around the horn outer edge and in other places. The chain for the mouthpiece is disconnected from the mouthpiece at present, should be relatively easy to address. No makers marks of any kind on this so somewhat of a mystery though clearly of significant vintage. It is about 11.5 inches in length and 4 inches in diameter at the horn end.
That's about it. We tried to provide a good group of pictures that would be helpful to those having interest. We'll start this old or vintage bugle or hunting horn low so enjoy the auction. When packed the bugle will weigh about less than 3 lbs so we'll use USPS Parcel Post service as the lowest cost postal alternative to the domestic US buyer. We have no packing or handling charge. Extra cost USPS postal services like Postal Insurance, Tracking, or Upgraded postal services are easily available should the winning bidder wish to make arrangements. International Bidders who can complete the transaction by use of PAYPAL and who agree to pay the actual US postal service charges to their respective county may proceed to bid.
International Bidders who DO NOT have a Paypal account and will pay by international money order or bank check by choosing to bid will agreed to pay an additional $10.00 to defray bank charges imposed on the handling of foreign originated bank checks and money orders. We mention this now to avoid any problems after the conclusion of the sale. International Bidders who elect to bid are agreeing to the above terms by so doing. International Bidders should review the return priviledge terms stated in the first paragraph as they apply to International Sales to avoid any later problems. We would suggest that International Bidders who seek estimates of postage to their respective countries use the above posting weight we provided at USPS.com where there is an easy to use International Postage Rate Estimator. This site is easy to use and provides more information regarding speeds, costs and choices that we can easily type if an inquiry is made.
Please let us know if there are any questions. We will cooperate with winners of more than one auction to combine items for postal savings whenever practical. Thank you for your interest and Good Luck!
