Report itemFrom a doll collector Estate here is a wonderful old 17" tall High Brow Parian Shoulder head doll, circa 1865. I see no cracks or chips on this unmarked bisque shoulder head. There is a piece of clear old tape with some old writting on it, on the back shoulder plate. I did not try to clean this off. Lady has molded painted blonde hair, blue painted eyes with coral liner over the lid. She has brown brows and closed little mouth with accent line through the lips. Lovely pink blushed cheeks accent the white bisque. Cloth body with kid leather ARMS to elbow. See photo #5 for a picture of one of her arms, at the elbow area the leather arms becomes cloth. Doll wears antique dress, two slips and pantaloons. She is wearing only ONE stocking and ONE shoe. There is a brooch pin on her dress, Now the dress is old, fragile with some rips throughout on the velvet, the black lace shawl also has some rips. I did not wish to ruin this outfit anymore by removing it. The jacket top of the dress has been stitched onto the skirt, it is snug on this doll. Overall, clothing does look charming on her, despite the flaws of needing repair. I have taken plenty of photos, please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description.
