Old Antique Wood Zenith Tube Radio -Art Deco Black Dial

You don‘t see this Zenith Black Dial too often. The 1936 Model 6-D-116 Long Distance Table Radio. This set features a stunning two tone cabinet, large black dial, copper chassis, AM &Shortwave bands, and outstanding performance.

Cabinet: The two tone cabinet is in excellent condition. The top and sides feature a gorgeous red mahogany with beautiful flowing wood grain. The front of the set compliments the top and sides perfectly with an eye catching brown mahogany. The black inlay that runs around the dial, as well as the front of the cabinet, makes for quite a unique look. An Art Deco grill and wood feet finish this set off just right. Dial/Knobs: Nothing compares to the beauty of Zenith’s famous black dial. And this one is just spectacular. All numbers and letters are legible and show no signs of wear. The dial lights nice and bright and is quite a sight in dark room. The dial glass is nice and clear without any chips, breaks, or scratches. The white ’Z’ pointer is perfect and moves around the dial nice and smooth. All three ’Z’ knobs are in great shape and function as they should, on/off & volume, tuning, and band switch.

Electronics/Chassis: The 6 tube Copper chassis is in great condition. It has been electronically restored with new caps and resistors. Any weak tubes were replaced as were all brittle wires. The tuning mechanism was cleaned and the set was re-aligned. These Long Distance sets have great reception. Listen to stations up and down the dial with lots of volume, nice warm tone, and no hum.
