I don't know much about these older lamps but I have been told they were used by miner's in their underground activities. It looks to be in overall good condition but could use some cleaning up. I don't know exactly how the lamp works so I can't say whether it is working or not so please bid on what you see in the pictures. The lamp is marked on the top of the brass section "Auto Lite". On the bottom it is marked "Universal Lamp Co. / Springfield, Ill. / Made in U.S.A.". The brass section of the lamp measures 3 5/8" tall and 2 3/16" in diameter. The silver face part measures a little more than 3 7/8" in diameter. The lamp is 3" front to back. A nice item for your collection or your work in the mine. Thanks for your interest in my auction.
