Item up for auction is a nice, roaring 20’s coin op penny play stereo view machine by the Exhibit Supply Co.  This is a key wind activated machine which was often used for amusement in penny arcades. The arcade could wind this machine once for multiple plays.  The key to this machine is not original but does wind the mechanism okay.   

 

This coin op stereo viewer is in very nice working condition with external paint restoration.  The paint is burgundy with antique gold trim.  The marquee is not original and is made totally of wood.  The lady photo on the marquee is only for size usage and is a reprint 8 x 10” photo. 

 

This machine holds 5 sets of views which required one penny to view each set.  There are currently only 4 complete sets in this machine with the 5th set being short some cards.  This drop card machine depicts the following card sets (12 photos per set):

  1. “The Rage of Paris”
  2. Bull Montana in the “Dumbell Juggler”
  3. Snub Pollard in “Man Wanted”
  4. Winning the Derby
  5. Sid Saylor in “Salute Saylor Boy” has only 5 cards out of 12
