Here is a WONDERFUL vintage HEINZ "57 VARIETIES" advertising BUTTER PAT or small Bowl shaped DISH .. made by Shenango China of New Castle, Pennsylvania and fully marked .. bought from a man who worked at the Heinz Plant in Pittsburgh, Pa. - he said these were used in house for tasting samples .. made circa 1910s-1940s .. shiny White glaze - HEINZ Green PICKLE on one side - '57 VARIETIES' in Green lettering on the other side - scalloped edges .. a HARDER TO FIND example of Pittsburgh advertising China - a MUST for the Heinz collector - offered with NO RESERVE!

VERY GOOD condition - no chips, cracks or repairs - a few light surface scratches or knife marks from use - nice shiny finish - clear advertising .. measures 3 3/8" in diameter x 1/2" high .. marked with the Shenango China logo of an Indian Potter at work .. guaranteed OLD and ORIGINAL - this is NOT a recent or reproduction item.
