Old J&P Coats Cotton Moustache Mustache Shaving Mug

I recently found this interesting antique advertising black and white transferware moustache cup at an antiques estate auction.   The cup is a advertisement piece for J & P Coats Spool Cotton...well known for production of thread.  This moustache cup depicts a Revolutionary War scene of George Washington on horseback holding a conversation with his soldiers.   Just under the lip reads "J&P Coats Spool Cotton ".  It measures 3 1/2 inches tall and undoubtedly is an original and NOT a reproduction as these moustache cups have been reproduced over the years but the reproduced pieces have different handles and the body shape is different.  The condition of the cup is very good with the exception of a very small chip on the exterior of the lip.  (see photos).  There are no makers marks on the underside of the cup but there is a number 7679. A neat old antique moustache cup for the moustache cup collector or for the collector of old advertising collectibles.  Thanks for visiting the auction.

Items paid via PayPal  will ship within 4 days of receipt of payment.  Payment is expected within 7 days of close of the auction and if not received within 7 days I reserve the right to file a non-paying bidder notice with eBay and to re-list the item. I accept returns only on items that may have been inadvertently misrepresented in description.  Items must be returned within 3 days of buyer receipt.  Buyer must notify me immediately of intent to return the item.  The item must be returned to me in the same condition it was in prior to buyer receipt.  The buyer is responsible for all expenses associated with the return of the item and the item must be insured  for return shipment.
