Old LIONEL Standard Gauge BLUE COMET #420 421 422 w/BOX

VINTAGE 1930’S LIONEL STANDARD GAUGE BLUE COMET MODEL RAILROAD PASSENGER CARS - #420 - #421 - #422 – WITH THE ORIGINAL BOXES

This auction consists of the very desirable and hard to find Lionel standard gauge “Blue Comet” passenger cars with their original boxes. The cars are each individually numbered, and named after actual comets (#420 FAYE - #421 WESTPHAL, and #422 TEMPEL). The cars are all in excellent condition for their age with only some light scattered paint wear, mostly on the roofs (Probably from rubbing against the boxes for all of these years), and they all even have the original windows, which I am told are usually missing. The cars are all complete, except that car #421 (WESTPHAL) is missing one hand rail (SEE PHOTOS), and that could probably be replaced. The roofs come off of each car to reveal a detailed interior with seats and even a restroom with toilet. Each car comes with its original cardboard box that is numbered and has a paper Lionel label on it. ***There are (24) photos with this auction and depending on your connection speed may take a few minutes to load.*** This set of hard to find cars would make a very nice addition to a model railroad collection. I will be shipping these items via UPS with insurance included. Since they will be shipping via UPS they cannot be shipped to a post office box. Also, due to the size and expense of this item this auction is for the USA and Canada only!
