 A very nice Old Sleepy Eye flemish blue and gray stoneware stein that was given as a premium in sacks of flour by the Sleepy Eye Milling Co. of Sleepy Eye Minnesota. Made by the Weir Pottery Co. of Monmouth Illinois. This stein is in excellent condition for its age. There are several small shallow dings on the bottom which are smooth. The one on the edge is half glazed. I am not certain but these look to be manufacturing flaws. There is a very tiny glaze flake about the size of the head of a pin on the indian's nose (on the handle). This is missing glaze only and does not go into the stoneware. It's very hard to see. Stein measures 7 1/2" tall. Please view pictures carefully prior to bidding as I am unable to offer refunds. I am always happy to answer any questions that you might have. Thank you.
