Note the unusual size of this try mitre square. Its 6 inch steel blade is marked Stanley Rule & Level New Britain, Conn. USA. The mark is the early, block letter, striaght line design. The blade is not marked No. 2. The rosewood handle, with brass plate, has grips so this model likely dates from 1895 to early 1915. The blade has rusted but the mark and the graduations are legible. See photo.
Successful bidder pays USPS shipping with delivery confirmation. Save on shipping with multiple purchases. We gladly accept money orders and cashiers checks, and we accept Paypal. International shipments require Priority Mailing if you wish to insure your item. If not, they can go via more economical USPS First Class Air. Personal checks and foreign money orders are fine, but don't blame me if the bank takes over a week to confirm the funds. When the money is accessible in my bank account, then I will ship your item.
All items sold in as found condition. I buy old tools and things from estate sales and auctions and resell them just as they are. Many of the items I sell bear original owners initials or marks. If you are a collector who is adverse to this, please contact me and I will be glad to verify any such markings.
