This key is being sold as found, and since the old book came with it when I got it, I am selling it all as one lot.

This telegraph key has no mechanical problems, and I have tried to provide good pictures so you can see for yourself.

All of the springs and bolts etc. are original to the key. The key is complete and in very good working condition.

The old book is a real find! I did a little reassure on the web, and found that at one time editions of this book were used in class rooms for teaching new telegraphers the proper way to do telegraphy. This book however pre-dates those simple soft-cover editions. This is an older hard-cover 1901 edition! It has a small cut on the bottom of the front cover (apparently someone placed an object on the book to be cut with a jackknife, and came a little too close to the front cover!) At any rate, a small piece of the front cover is missing, but none of the pages are affected (see picture of inside front cover). The rest of the book is in excellent condition!
