Up for auction is this Fencing helmet. I found it in the attic during restoration of old house in Newburgh, Orange county, NY (house built in 1881). The mask is dirty, rusty in some places, fabric straps and liners are soft and damaged in few spots. Inside liners of helmet is filled with straws. I did not clean the helmet, just air-blown dust away. Near the helmet I found old newspapers, dated 1928. All things was covered with same dust, so I believe, this helmet was sitting in this attic since 1930 or so... The picture of newspaper is just for reference only (as evidence), but if you would like to buy the papers also = let me know! There is no any manufacturer markings or stamps on liners. But there is some visible rodent damage on liners.... Item is sold as it is....
