 DESCRIPTION
This old indian basket came from an estate auction where the elderly owners had many many Hopi indian artifacts from way back. This item is believed to be from the early 1900's from what they call the Oraibi Village in Arizona. They were collectors, and were parting with it all. I was lucky to get this piece.  It is fully intact. The inside and the sides of the basket is faded from time, but the bottom kept its color much better. The weave of the pattern is nice and tight. The pattern sort of looks like arrowheads. This is a good sized basket measuring approx 10" width from side to side x 2.5" height x 33" all around (circumfrence). It's not a stiff hard feel but more on the flimsy side. Unbelievably, there are no stains or spots on this basket. It was well cared for (you could tell when you saw their collection). This is all I know about it, as I am not a collector. Thank you for taking a look.
