This grain drill is in exceptional condition for its age. It should still be useful to the hobby farmer, collector or in wildlife food plots. It has always been well oiled and protected from the weather in a shed. The boxes are intact with no rust through or rot.
It has steel wheels, a marker, and double disc openers for the best placement of the seed. It is a trip lift, meaning the discs are lifted by a cam mechanism driven by the forward motion of the wheels. No hydraulics are required to raise and lower the gang of double disc openers.
It has a large box for seeding wheat, oats, rye, soybeans, corn, etc. There is also a small box used for metering small seeds such as alfalfa, clover, etc.
It is approximately 11 feet wide and 8.5 feet from rear to hitch.
I live in Northern Illinois, however, this drill is located on my Dad and brother's farm near Charleston, IL 61920 (East Central Illinois). They have loader tractors available and will assist with loading.
I am selling because I recently purchased a wider drill for use in our food plots.
