Item specifics
Type: Beer SignBrand: Olympia

This week I am listing these "Three Rare:" and what, I believe, to be 1960's era Olympia Beer Signs.  Each will be listed separately so that any collector that only needs one sign to complete this series of Olympia Beer advertising Signs,, need only bid on that particular sign, A, B, C. This listing is for (C), 23" x 15" Heavy plastic Shield with Knights Armor Helmet on Top~Below that is attached the Family Crest on Cardboard with an Eagle with wings spred and each side a Fleur-de-Lis with wavy lines below representing the Rivers Trent & Dove (10 x 8-1/4"). Below Family Crest is a raised embossed oval sign that says "Light Olympia Beer", Across the Bottom says "Burton on Trent".  Info from Google Search: "The new Burton upon Trent County Borough was granted a coat of arms by Norroy, King of Arms at the College of Arms after its incorporation in 1878 depicted the spread eagle from the Paget family arms, fleur-de-lys from those of the Bass family. The two wavy blue lines represent the rivers Trent and Dove, which meet near Burton. The motto ‘Honor Alit Artes’ is a quotation by Roman Statesman, Cicero, meaning ‘Honour Sustains the Arts’.In 1879 the first Mayor of Burton County Borough, W.H. Worthington, was presented with a Mayoral Chain and Badge of Office which proudly incorporated the new Borough’s Civic Arms. An impressive stonemasonary Coat-of-Arms was also commissioned for incorporation into the newly proposed Market Hall". I consider it to be in good condition for it's age, Still has 4 unused peel off stick-on tabs on back, Plus has a hole below the Knights Helmet for hanging. Buy one, two, or all three for your collection. We are happy to combine shipping. Well Wrapped for shipping weight will be 5 lbs from 98542-0354~For ONE Sign!!

Please preview all the pictures, as pictures take the place of a thousand words & are part of the description. Check out my other items!
