The Watermark Series pieces I created were inspired by this ombre shaded watermarked patterned fabric. Quilt Artist Nancy Crow designed the watermark patterned fabric in a few colors. The fabric I worked with was shaded from pale yellow, to red violet from one edge of the selvedge to the other. With the graded shades of color I was able to play around with value & color in a few pieces. It's a good thing I bought a whole bolt. | |

The improvisational collage style of composing allows me the freedom to explore and discover unexpected evolutions of the content and meaning behind the metaphorical imagery.
While the metaphoric images have specific meaning to me, they are also enigmatic in that the viewer can bring their own personal experience to their interpretation.
A full-time studio artist, instructor and lecturer since 1994, Linda’s art has been exhibited and collected internationally - Germany & France.
